Bill McKechnie compiled a record of 1896 wins and 1723 losses in his coaching career with the Newark Pepper, Pittsburgh Pirates, St. Louis Cardinals, Boston Braves, Boston Bees and Cincinnati Reds. He began coaching during the 1915 season and last coached during the 1946 campaign.
