Phil Cavarretta compiled a career batting average of .293 with 95 home runs and 920 RBI in his 2030-game career with the Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox. He began playing during the September 16, 1934 season and last took the field during the May 8, 1955 campaign. Cavarretta was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1962.
