Marty Marion compiled a career batting average of .263 with 36 home runs and 624 RBI in his 1572-game career with the St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Browns. He began playing during the April 16, 1940 season and last took the field during the July 6, 1953 campaign. Marion was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1956.
