Lonnie Smith compiled a career batting average of .288 with 98 home runs and 533 RBI in his 1613-game career with the Philadelphia Phillies, St. Louis Cardinals, Kansas City Royals, Atlanta Braves, Pittsburgh Pirates and Baltimore Orioles. He began playing during the September 2, 1978 season and last took the field during the August 10, 1994 campaign. Smith was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2000.
