Lloyd Waner compiled a career batting average of .316 with 27 home runs and 598 RBI in his 1993-game career with the Pittsburgh Pirates, Boston Braves, Cincinnati Reds, Philadelphia Phillies and Brooklyn Dodgers. He began playing during the April 12, 1927 season and last took the field during the September 16, 1945 campaign. Waner was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1949.
