The Colonels paced the league with just 8,542 points allowed. Kentucky scored 9,151 points. Artis Gilmore scored a team-best 1,981 points for the squad, while Dan Issel netted 17 or more per game as well. Artis Gilmore contributed 1,361 rebounds. Lou Dampier dished out 449 assists for the team.
Defensively, Ted McClain added 130 steals, and Artis Gilmore blocked 258 shots.
