Coaching Career

Vern Mikkelsen averaged 14.4 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game in his 699-game career with the Minneapolis Lakers. He began playing during the 1949-50 season and last took the court during the 1958-59 campaign. Mikkelsen was elected to the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1995.
