The BC Lions of the Canadian Football League ended the 2009 season with a record of 8 wins and 10 losses for 16 points, finishing fourth in the CFL's West Division. The team compiled a postseason mark of 1-1.

The Lions managed just 431 points, worst in the league, and the defensive squad allowed 502. Buck Pierce passed for 2,272 yards, and Jarious Jackson spent time under center also. Geroy Simon topped pass catchers, grabbing 79 passes for 1,239 yards, while Paris Jackson and Emmanuel Arceneaux contributed to the receiving game as well.

Martell Mallett carried the ball for a team-leading 1,240 yards for BC.

Barron Miles picked off 8 opponent throws. Rick Foley led the defensive unit with 12 quarterback sacks, part of an overall team total of 45 sacks.

Wally Buono coached the team. The 2009 BC Lions lost in the Division Final.
