The BC Lions of the Canadian Football League ended the 1989 season with a record of 7 wins and 11 losses for 14 points, finishing fourth in the CFL's West Division.

BC scored 521 points, while the shaky defensive squad conceded 557. Matt Dunigan directed the offense, slinging for 4,509 yards. David Williams topped the receiving corps, grabbing 79 passes for 1,446 yards. Eric Streater was targeted regularly, too.

Anthony Parker carried the ball for a team-leading 595 yards for the Lions, and Tony Cherry also contributed to the rushing attack.

Keith Gooch picked off 6 opponent throws. James Parker led the defensive unit with 12 quarterback sacks.

Larry Donovan and Joe Galat coached the team.
