The Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League ended the 1984 season with a record of 6 wins and 9 losses and 1 ties for 13 points, finishing second in the CFL's East Division. The team compiled a postseason mark of 2-1.

The Tiger-Cats scored 353 points, but the defensive squad gave up 439. Dieter Brock led the charge, slinging for 3,966 yards. Rocky DiPietro led the receiving corps, grabbing 71 receptions for 1,063 yards. Rufus Crawford contributed to the receiving game also.

Kelvin Lindsey carried the ball for a team-high 308 yards for Hamilton.

The opportunistic defense led the way with 65 turnovers. Gerald Bess picked off 12 opponent throws. Grover Covington topped the defensive unit with 18.5 quarterback sacks, leading the way for a team which created 60 sacks.

Al Bruno coached the team. The 1984 Hamilton Tiger-Cats lost in the Grey Cup.
