The Bears chalked up 325 points, and the solid defense conceded 248. Walter Payton spearheaded the running game, rushing for a 1,684 yards for Chicago.

Jim McMahon threw for 1,146 yards. Walter Payton hauled in 45 balls, while Willie Gault added 587 receiving yards. Matt Suhey and Emery Moorehead contributed to the receiving game, too.

Leslie Frazier and Gary Fencik each picked off 5 opponent throws. Richard Dent topped the defensive unit with 17.5 quarterback sacks, leading the way for a team which created 72 sacks.

Mike Ditka coached the team. The 1984 Chicago Bears lost in the Conference Championship.
