The Vikings racked up 306 points, but the defense surrendered 344. Brad Johnson passed for 1,885 yards, and Daunte Culpepper spent time under center also. Jermaine Wiggins snagged 69 passes, while Travis Taylor accumulated 604 receiving yards. Marcus Robinson provided receiving help as well.

Mewelde Moore carried the ball for a team-best 662 yards for Minnesota.

The opportunistic defense led the way with 35 turnovers. Darren Sharper intercepted 9 opponent throws. Lance Johnstone sacked quarterbacks 7.5 times.
