The Birmingham Fire of the World League of American Football ended the 1991 season with a record of 5 wins and 5 losses, finishing first in the WLAF's North American West.
The Fire labored to change the scoreboard with just 140 points, and the defensive squad allowed 140. Brent Pease passed for 922 yards, and Eric Jones spent time under center, too. Ken Bell topped pass catchers, hauling in 40 balls, while Willie Bouyer added 456 receiving yards.
Ken Bell ran for a team-leading 192 yards for Birmingham, while Joe Henderson also buoyed the ground attack.
John Miller and Art Hunter each snatched 6 opponent throws. Maurice Oliver dropped opposing passers 7 times.
