The Houston Aeros of the World Hockey Association ended the 1975-76 season with a record of 53 wins and 27 losses for 106 points, finishing first in the WHA's WHA West Division. The team compiled a postseason mark of 8-9.

The Aeros scored 341 goals and surrendered 263. Mark Howe netted 39 goals for Houston, while Andre Hinse, Gordie Howe, Frank Hughes and Don Larway each tallied 30 or more, too. Gordie Howe contributed 70 assists. Ron Grahame earned 39 wins for the squad and a team-best 3.27 goals against average, leading goalies with significant playing time.

Bill Dineen coached the team. The 1975-76 Houston Aeros lost in the AVCO Cup finals.
