The Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League ended the 1981-82 season with a record of 30 wins and 33 losses and 17 ties for 77 points, finishing second in the NHL's Smythe Division. The team compiled a postseason mark of 11-6.

The Canucks scored 290 goals and yielded 286. Thomas Gradin netted 37 goals for Vancouver, while Ivan Boldirev and Stan Smyl tallied 30 or more also. Thomas Gradin contributed 49 assists. Richard Brodeur topped the squad with 20 wins and a team-best 3.35 goals against average, pacing goaltenders with enough qualifying appearances.

Harry Neale and Roger Neilson coached the team. The 1981-82 Vancouver Canucks lost in the Stanley Cup finals.
