The Chicago Sting of the Major Indoor Soccer League ended the 1986-87 season with a record of 23 wins and 29 losses in the MISL's Eastern Division.

Chicago scored 263 goals and yielded 265, most in the circuit. Frank Klopas netted 39 goals for the Sting, while Teddy Krafft, Karl-Heinz Granitza, Ben Collins, Pat McGauley and Batata each contributed fifteen or more, too. Batata recorded 48 assists. Victor Nogueira topped the squad with 14 wins and a team-best 4.88 goals against average, leading qualifying goalkeepers.

Willy Roy and Eric Geyer coached the team.
